CTP/Greenslips

What is compulsory third party insurance (NSW CTP Greenslips)?

Compulsory third party insurance, otherwise known as your CTP Greenslip, provides compensation for other people injured by your vehicle when you or the person driving your vehicle is the driver at fault in an accident.

What does my NSW CTP Greenslip cover?

Your Greenslip covers:

  • Other road users, such as drivers, passengers, pedestrians, cyclists and motor cyclists
  • Injuries caused by the use of a trailer (only when connected to a Prime Mover)
  • Your passengers
  • Vehicles registered in NSW 24 hours a day, Australia wide.

What does my NSW CTP Greenslip NOT cover?

Your Greenslip DOES NOT cover:

  • Unless noted and agreed by the insurer, you for personal injury if you are the driver at fault.
  • Damage to property or other vehicles.

Lifetime care and support

The NSW Government has introduced an extension to the current CTP scheme to cover the lifetime care and medical costs for people catastrophically injured in a motor vehicle accident in NSW.  Previous cover was limited in these circumstances.

Fleet CTPs made easier

If you have a fleet of vehicles and renew registrations quarterly to assist with your cash flow, CTP administration can become quite a burden on time and resources.

Austbrokers AEI Transport may be able to arrange for access to an insurer online CTP system that connects directly with the RMS to enable you to process your CTPs and vehicle registrations from the comfort of your office.

This system allows you to quote new CTPs, renew, email RMS copies, pay online with your credit card (where no surcharges apply), reconcile your payments etc.
